One Bread, One Body
Readers at Mass proclaim the Word of God at our liturgies. Effective readers should understand, feel, and project the mood and message of the passage. Join us if you feel called to be a proclaimer of God's Word!
Also, we need adults to assist as Readers at our funeral masses.
No experience needed to be a Reader. We will train!
Please call the Parish Office if interested in being a Reader at Mass.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the program whereby interested adults take an indepth look at the Catholic Church and decide to become fully initiated into our Catholic Faith by receiving the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. RCIA provides an opportunity to learn more about our Catholic Faith, beliefs, traditions, worship, practices, the RCIA process, etc. It is open to all...
non-Catholics, non-practicing Catholics, Catholics who were baptized but never catechized, or practicing Catholics who would like a refresher in Catholic teaching.
This program begins in September and concludes after Easter. The RCIA Team works closely in presenting this program. If you want to be on a team that welcomes people into our Roman Catholic Faith...THIS TEAM IS FOR YOU! Please contact Karen Powers at 570-294-6150 if you are interested in helping to educate Catholics-To-Be.
Our Sacristans take care of the sacred vessels and other items used at Mass. They set up these items before Mass, and they clean up these items and put them away after Mass. Teenagers who are active participants in our Parish are welcome to have the honor of being Sacristans. Please contact Fr. Rodgers if interested.
Our ushers assist at weekend and holy day liturgies. Vital to the smooth celebration of the liturgy, their duties include a hospitable welcome and assistance in seating, taking up the collections, and occasionally performing other duties as needed. Additional ushers are always welcome. Join this fulfilling ministry today!!
